Excel Recruitment is looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman Fitter & Van Driver to join my Client’s team on a permanent contract, based in Waterford city.

This role involves a mix of hands-on fitting and installing, along with driving responsibilities to transport materials, tools, and equipment to various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general handyman tasks, including basic fitting, installing and general household machine fitting

• Assemble, install, and fit furniture, fixtures, or equipment as required.

• Carry out routine maintenance work at client sites.

• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely using the company van.

• Ensure timely deliveries and collections to and from different locations.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in good condition.

• Follow health & safety regulations and company guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a handyman, fitter, or in a similar role.

• Ability to operate hand and power tools competently.

• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, but does not need to be professional plumbers/electrician

• Valid Irish driving license B, with a clean record.

• Physically fit to handle lifting and manual work.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Experience driving a van for work purposes
