Excel Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and qualified Staff Nurse to join a residential and respite services team in Kildare. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for a compassionate nurse passionate about providing support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities of a Staff Nurse:

• Deliver person-centered care to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, including those with complex medical and support needs.
• Promote independence and community participation while providing positive behaviour support.
• Maintain professional development to stay updated on best practices and knowledge in intellectual disability care.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations and other legislative requirements.
• Collaborate within a team environment and provide flexible support, including night shifts, day duties, and sleepovers as needed.
• Drive service vehicles as required.

Requirements of a Staff Nurse:

• Registered with NMBI, preferably with an RNID or RGN qualification.
• Clinical experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to a person-centered approach and community integration.
• Full clean manual driving license and willingness to drive service vehicles.
