Job Title: Catering Assistant (Night Shift)

Location: Abbeyfeale, Co.Limerick

Reports to: Catering Supervisor

Salary: €15.88 per hour

Shift Times: €23.30 – 4.30 AM

Job Purpose:

To support the catering team in preparing, presenting, and delivering food and beverages, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and customer service during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing food and beverages by food safety regulations and company standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, food service areas, and equipment.

• Assist with stock control, ensuring adequate supplies are available for service.

• Support the safe storage and disposal of food items.

• Serve food and drinks to customers or staff as required.

• Handle cash and electronic payments where applicable.

• Adhere to all health and safety, food hygiene, and company policies.

• Assist with the setup and clearing of dining areas before and after service.

• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient catering operations.

• Provide excellent customer service at all times.

• Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Catering Supervisor/Manager.

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Previous experience in a catering or food service environment.

• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.

• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of personal hygiene and presentation.

Desirable:

• Food hygiene certificate (Level 2 or higher).

• Experience in cash handling and using a till.

• Knowledge of allergen management and dietary requirements.
