Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Food and Beverage Manager for one of our clients in County Galway.

You will be working alongside an established team at a 4 star hotel and spa with a busy meeting and events department. This role offers fantastic opportunities for progression within the company.

Responsibilities of the Food and Beverage Manager:

• Manage and supervise the daily operations of the food and beverage department, fostering teamwork, initiative and ongoing improvement through a hands-on approach.
• Maximise revenue through up-selling and customer engagement ensuring their needs and preferences are always met.
• Manage the scheduling of staff to ensure adequate coverage for all food and beverage operations.
• Work closely with other departments to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with fellow managers and teams.
• Carry out tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager or Group Management Team.

Requirements for this job:

• A degree or diploma in Hotel or Hospitality Management is preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service including cocktail, wine and coffee-making knowledge.
• Previous experience in a busy hotel and/or restaurant.
• Familiarity with electronic point-of-sale systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
