An ideal candidate will have previous experience cleaning in hospital or nursing home, will have a knowledge of sanitation and infection control procedures, and always needs to be customer focused and professional.
Due to the location, candidates need to live locally or have their own transport.
Cleaner Duties and Responsibilities:
- General housekeeping tasks (cleaning, refuse, changing beds etc.)
- Collect dirty laundry from patients’ rooms and deliver them to washing areas
- Distribute clean linen to appropriate floors
- Maintain adequate stock of cleaning products
- Maintain a clean and organised storage area for cleaning equipment and supplies
- Take and address any patients’ complaints regarding housekeeping services
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper compaction of surgical waste as per Hospital procedures
Cleaner Requirements:
- Previous experience
- Manual Handling, Infection Control and Chemical Safety training would be an advantage
- Must be flexible as shifts could be at various times
- Excellent level of spoken English
